One trade, accountable from quote to handover

We install and we refinish, which is unusual in Sydney. It means the advice you get is about your floor rather than about what somebody happens to be selling this month.

How we work

We are a small, owner-operated flooring business working across Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Lower North Shore and Eastern Suburbs, trading since 2014. Every job is carried out or directly supervised by the owner. On a small job that means one person start to finish; on a larger one, a small crew working to a set-out the owner marked himself.

We do both halves of this trade — installation and sanding and polishing — which is unusual in Sydney. Installers generally do not sand and sanders generally do not install. Doing both means that when we tell you the floor under your carpet is worth restoring rather than replacing, we have nothing to gain by saying so.

What we will always tell you

• When the cheaper option is the better one.
• When a floor cannot take another sand, before we start rather than halfway through.
• When a stain will not come out, and the board needs replacing instead.
• What is excluded from the quote, in writing.
• That no sanding process is genuinely dust-free, whatever anyone advertises.

Insurance and cover

Work on your home is covered under a $20 million public liability policy, with workers compensation in place for everyone on site. A certificate of currency is provided with every quote, and with any strata application.

Work is invoiced through Bosco Flooring.

Our guarantee

A 5-year workmanship guarantee sits on top of the manufacturer’s product warranty and underneath your statutory rights, which cannot be excluded by contract. The three layers are set out here.
